Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, which causes them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in the movie “The Skeleton Team” plus even more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neal’s younger siblings is the same one the Chewbacca family watched in the infamous Star Wars holiday special (1978). I watched the first two episodes, and although there is clearly an attempt to create “babies in space” in them, show me what’s wrong with this? This is a completely different look at the story that exists in the Star Wars universe. I liked the view and atmosphere of a suburban city in this world, because we have never seen anything like it. The town they’re from reminded me more of the area from “Alien” than anything we’ve seen in recent TV shows. The four main characters are typical but interesting, each of them has a clearly defined role in the group, and the actors play them well. The pirate atmosphere isn’t necessarily something we’ve seen before, and adds a bit of an eerie element and atmosphere of danger. If it was an 80’s movie, it would fit in perfectly. So far, I enjoy watching the movie because of the new storytelling elements in the Star Wars universe, the nostalgia for my childhood movies, and the fact that I can share the experience of watching Star Wars with my kids.
