The first season had a driving narrative based on the Ultron-Watcher storyline, which made for a satisfying finale. Season two didn’t have the same overarching plot, as the episodes felt much more disconnected from each other. I enjoyed certain episodes, especially the first one where Nebula joined the Nova Corps, as I felt it created a very steamy punk sci-fi vibe that I was drawn to. I also enjoyed the episode involving Hela and the 10 Rings. I felt it did a good job of essentially mimicking the plot of the first Thor movie, but Hela was the main character. I appreciated a lot of the action in season two, but the pace of both seasons is so fast. This is understandable since they’re trying to pack the entire story into 30 minutes of running time. That said, it’s so fast that the show doesn’t allow you to pause to catch your breath and get into the different rhythms of the story… especially the dramatic ones. Overall, I found season two to be more boring than I expected. The first season was an 8, but after finishing the second, I’m lowering the overall rating for the show to a 7.
