Chronology
It tells the story of three very different families competing for the same 20th century house. The exterior of the house is similar to the same house Mitchell and Cam lived in on Modern Family.
There were a lot of red herrings
If you look at this show through a narrative lens, the pieces don’t fit together. We got so deep into each character’s story that the overall story wasn’t strong enough to continue.
It all comes together at the end
It would definitely be stronger without the ensemble cast. There are a lot of familiar faces, so I can see why they did it.
There were some weak characters, both in the writing and the performances
Some of the others seemed to struggle with the balance of comedy and drama. I think it’s about time Netflix gave Linda Cardellini her own show.
