The town’s set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Chronology
Unravel the mystery of a town in the central United States that traps all who enter. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc.
When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. The paved streets and sidewalks were all that remained, and the fake town was built on top of them. A rope is thrown to him by (presumably) Martin in the room above, despite the fact that his wrists are chained.
You’re walking straight into the same trap
Featured on Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Hosted by The Pixies. I’m writing this to the writers and producers of the show: Please don’t turn this into another “Lost” – another disappointment.
And it’s so annoying
None of the characters communicate or share what’s going on in the town. It’s like they’ve suddenly become clueless, deliberately withholding important information that could help them understand what’s going on. Plus, in every episode, something new happens, but it’s never explained.
