-After this year’s series of romantic holiday-themed movies that you can watch from the comfort of your own home
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family compete to win the team’s Fan of the Year competition, as judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick. Get Happy. The film was filmed in historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like this all year round. The locations where the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant were located are also family-owned stores in real life.
"A Man’s Love Story" continues to trend
The square is also lit up with Christmas lights, just like in the movie. 6.7/10 (Recommended) While Hallmark movies remain cheesy and sometimes a little unrealistic in their love story possibilities, 2024 has proven to be a wonderful year for Christmas love. I’m not a football fan and I get a little tired of hearing about the Chiefs, but honestly, this movie was amazing. It’s emotionally driven (I may have shed a few tears) and the cast is great together.
She takes her role seriously
The chemistry between Hunter King and Tyler Hynes was immediately noticeable. As soon as their eyes lit up, I knew this movie was going to be good. Hunter, in particular, gives a great performance. She’s visually shocking and heartbreaking when she needs to be, which sells the point.
Overall, this movie is a must-see for those Hallmark movie fans
Some Hallmark actresses don’t do that, which is why she stands out to me. The story is fantastic and told as if it were a real family affair, but given the traditions and superstitions of sports families, there’s no question that this situation plays out in personal life year after year. This movie is a little different in that it focuses on families who love two people, which I think makes it more appealing. You don’t even have to like sports or football to understand what’s going on.
That’s all for now
You just have to believe that love can manifest in mysterious ways, and sometimes those mysterious ways are superstition and the magic of Christmas. Thanks for taking the time to read my review. Happy watching and enjoy the show!
