Plus, I’m not a Chiefs fan
The square also has holiday lights, just like in the movie.. There was way too much hype surrounding this movie, including “live” during every commercial break in the movie leading up to it. To me, they are the current Evil Empire of the NFL.
I liked this one
(They actually have some very good actors, and I use the term “bad” as an exaggeration.) But once again, I find myself obsessed with watching every Christmas movie premiere on at least 5 channels. It was different enough from the usual stuff, and there may have been snow, but there were no snowball fights or many other Christmas movie to-do list items. Tyler Hynes and Hunter King have very good chemistry, almost what I sometimes call hot.
I found the acting a bit mixed
The story drew me in first with the drive to win the fan contest, and then the anticipation of the outcome of the obstacle at the end. Hynes was his usual level-headed but laid-back self. King’s character had appealing qualities, but also a certain neurosis, especially in her total obsession with superstition.
That being said, I had mixed feelings about the ending, especially after the build-up to the story
(I realize these sentiments are a bit contradictory.) As I mentioned, I’m not a Chiefs fan, so I didn’t recognize many of the cameos, but I think there were a few.
