Appeared in the AniMat crazy animated film The Cast: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). After all this waiting (despite all that debunking and confirmation), the all-new DCU kicks off the Gods and Monsters chapter with its first episode, Creature Commandos, and according to the title of the first chapter, it has one! Creature Commandos, the first DCU series, has all sorts of things going for it, like looking back at the past and looking forward to the future, I personally like Zack Snyder and James Gunn Best, who bring the DC cinematic experience into the modern age, except Zack was at Netflix when he was about to return to the WB with the 300 project, and James is now headed by Peter Safran, a longtime DC contributor and producer.
a strange mash-up
Best known as the Marvel Universe’s obscure superhero team, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Spotlight, now in charge of DC Studios, he’s doing the same thing with Creature Commandos, with a new beginning that most people think is… about the superhero world, gods and deities and a terrifying army, I’ve seen the first few episodes of that, think about this crazy start to the whole DCU.
and their Ligne Claire, Spanish culture, European movies, modern day action movies, all pretty awesome start for the DCU, but the best is yet to come
There are some clever recaps and cameos of obscure and popular DCU characters, while the overall plot was great, I personally love the awesome origin story and the smooth and clean, very popular animation, despite James explaining that “by now everyone knew Superman’s origin, so why do we even need to repeat it?”, he definitely pays attention to the original for these characters, as does the MCU, and the series could also be a satire of the current situation and really crazy world events and mix them with DCU locations and events, such as Metropolis and Themyscira, consider all of this, the villain, Circe, crashed the party and somehow revealed the entire plot in later episodes, the music is pretty nostalgic, the series also has some homages to DC comic classics, Hammer and Universal Monster Films, anime, the Franco-Belgian Bande Dessinee. for now DCU and ita futures and Elseworlds (although it has Batman and Joker, but is the Snyderverse and Ayer cut, Reeves and Keaton in?) Just starting to work on Superman in 2025, stay tuned for more episodes and more DCU. P.S.
To James Gunn, Alfred E
