A grief therapist starts telling his clients exactly what he’s thinking

Ignoring his training and his ethics, he finds himself making a huge difference in people’s lives, including his own. Movies & TV’s “Shrink” shares the best moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and finds out who has the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence asked how they got Harrison Ford to appear on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and prepared to audition for people like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they should at least take it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that the project had been taken to Harrison Ford, generating interest from other notable actors. In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was elated nonetheless.

Now two episodes in, the show is promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious, and at times even oddly… comforting in a way that most shows aren’t, just reminding you of the show’s community with these elements. I’m not sure if it accurately represents the way the therapist approaches issues, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a chance at that.

I wasn’t sure how his character would work on the show, but Rhoda’s antisocial resemblance definitely factors into the personality that Ford knows quite well, considering the more anxious elements of his Han Solo character in Star Wars, it’s a perfect fit for the show. Too relatable, Sean (Luke Tenney) plays Jimmy’s (Segel) son as he deals with his own family issues with his daughter, Alice (Lucita Maxwell)… What we see here seems so bright and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless because I see Jimmy that we are moving towards these things.

By the way, the intro theme of this show is so good that I didn’t even skip it while watching episode 2… Overall, this show is amazing and I hope it gets better from now on.
