Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the Bear Retirement Home. With the Brown family at the helm, an exciting adventure ensues when a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey. The director of the previous two films, Paul King, decided not to direct this installment. However, he came up with the idea for this third film and served as executive producer. Paddington in Peru is a great, enjoyable film, but it is the weakest of the 3 Paddington films. It looks great on the big screen, the scenery and locations are beautiful, and the CGI of the bears looks great. The acting and story are good, nothing groundbreaking or better than the previous two films, but the charm of those two is missing in this third. However, I still had a good time watching it. It had some funny moments and is a fun family movie. It is a little silly at times, which would have worked if the charm was there. Overall, still a great movie that is worth seeing in the cinema.
